10/8/08-- Well over 1,000 people attended debate watch parties initiated by the AVODAH-AJWS partnership last night. These events, hosted in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and Washington, DC -- included a mix of political commentary, voter registration, Roshatini cocktails and very loud music. The parties were co-sponsored by nearly 50 Jewish groups, including everything from big synagogues and independent minyanim, to Hillels, local Jewish social justice groups and BirthrightNEXT.
